Peel High School is a co-educational, Public high school, located in Tamworth, a city in the North West region of New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1976, the school is a rural comprehensive high school with a focus on technology, and currently enrols approximately 500 students from Year 7 to 12.〔 Peel High School is a school of the New South Wales Department of Education and Training (DET), and prepares students for the School Certificate (Year 10), and the Higher School Certificate (Year 12). ==History== Established in 1976, Peel High School was named after Sir Robert Peel, an important British politician at the time of the discovery of the Tamworth region, by British settlers in Australia.
